Our planners successfully obtained resource consent to construct a new dwelling in the Residential – rural and coastal settlement zone and within the Rodney Landscape Precinct. Consent was required for infringements of the front yard setback, associated earthworks and onsite residential wastewater discharge.

Auckland council agreed with our planners, that although the proposed building platform is somewhat prominent (due to site constraints) the proposal is sensitively designed utilising low-profile building and dark recessive exterior colours which will minimise the visibility and are complimentary of the surrounding environment.

Additionally, the proposed landscape planting will effectively screen and integrate the built form into the surrounding landscape and will be consistent with the existing and anticipated vegetation patterns and biodiversity.
